See You at Latte's Release Day Story Time 11/19 in NYC?

OCTOber 2023

Window to The Bay #39

Latte’s Broadway Boogie Woogie Debuts at the New-York Historical Society Sunday Story Time, November 19, 2023 at 11:30am

Will we see you there? If so, reply YES! I’m thrilled to read Latte's Broadway Boogie Woogie live on release day, November 19th, to children and parents at the New-York Historical Society’s weekly Sunday Story Time held in the DiMenna Children’s History Museum at 11:30am. Read the full program description HERE.

The event is free with museum admission. Signed copies of Latte’s Broadway Boogie Woogie will be available for sale in the NYHistory Store. Stay for craft time after the reading with a Mondrian Thanksgiving twist. I’m delighted to return to a space that I once toured and featured as a “Building of the Day” wearing my hat as Archtober Programs Director, which also happens to be located along the parade route of the Thanksgiving Day parade that week. By the way, happy Archtober, Architecture and Design Month in NYC!

Pre-order Latte’s Broadway Boogie Woogie!

Pre-order now through 11/19 on Amazon or Barnes & Noble! Inspired by the vibrant primary colors and simple geometric beauty of Mondrian's breathtaking "Broadway Boogie Woogie" and infused with the sounds that defined the boogie woogie era, Latte’s Broadway Boogie Woogie takes young readers on a colorful journey across Broadway. Latte the Dalmatian has been asked to help create the perfect wedding by assembling the best boogie woogie band ever, guiding them on a joyous parade past some of NYC's best landmarks. Can she make it to the wedding on time? Young readers will clap, tap, and count along while learning about the roots of early jazz and the colorful wonders of Mondrian's abstract art. In the end, they'll discover what makes life like a parade - the one you lead for yourself is the best one of all.

With love for the every day and special days,
Laura Ann Trimble Elbogen
