Window to The Bay #25

Happy Friday! Did you have a good Father’s Day? I hope you took a moment to thank or remember the father figures in your life. I’m lucky and grateful I got to hug my dad and share a meal last week, as well as celebrate with my husband who is a great dad to our kids! As we celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this month, which sparked the launch of my Princeton campus watercolor series, I’m so excited to share that Laura Ann StudioWindow to The Bay” watercolor Princeton campus framed prints are now available for purchase from the Princeton University Store - SHOP HERE! Starting with own campus chapel wedding invitations, the collection grew by commission for other alumni weddings, as well as commissions for the Princeton University Art Museum Store and a Reunions program cover. I’m delighted to make the series of watercolor campus artwork more widely available to students and alumni at the Princeton University Store for the first time! This new release is designed with “Window to The Bay” ivy borders, either in the signature blue and white with a white frame, or in Princeton spirited orange and black. It’s wonderful to partner with another Princeton alumna founded business, Simply Framed, to deliver the framed print orders. I hope the Princeton prints will make for meaningful gifts for students and alumni, whether for graduation, tiger weddings, or celebratory dorm room decorating for newly admitted students.

A New Jersey Shore Watercolor Wedding House Portrait

I love painting watercolor home portraits for clients as gifts for their dad, and this painting also happens to be in New Jersey! I painted this month’s featured watercolor portrait of a beautiful Jersey shore beach house at the start of the pandemic as a special Father’s Day gift for a couple getting married at their parent’s home later that summer. Like many pandemic couples they had to be flexible with their plans and created a wonderful, intimate ceremony with their loved ones at a special family beachfront home. I loved painting the summery coastal blue hydrangeas, the waterfront cove, and a pair of beach chairs in their wedding colors. Their event planner, Wile Events, incorporated the painting into the design of their wedding invitations on the envelope flap! Check Laura Ann Studio Instagram for the start to finish artwork reel!

With love for the every day and special days,
