This has been a really special project for me, jumping from watercolor to acrylics for my first Window to The Bay landmark blue and white public art project! Watch the behind the scenes process reel on Instagram, start to finish from a watercolor square painting to a big round ornament! It’s a pretty special commission for a San Francisco artist, and I feel honored and delighted to contribute to the holiday spirit for locals and visitors enjoying the beauty and magic of Union Square at the holidays! As many workers left downtown offices for remote work during the pandemic, I hope the art and holiday market installations will be a good reason to bring people back downtown!
